Jetfire Is the Autobots’ New Transport, In The Reboot’s Most Disturbing Twist Yet

Resurrecting Jetfire , and basically trap him in his alt - mode to expend as a transport , is a shameful decision , but it is not one that Prime make lightly .
Prime resurrects Jetfire as a transferral , seemingly stuck in his alt - mode as a fighter super C . Disturbingly , Jetfire regains some semblance of awareness in this new shape , basically as little more than a zombified husk . “Is that what I am to you now ? ” Jetfire enquire hauntingly . “ A stubble ? I can not move . ” It was a difficult choice to make , but Optimus explains that they ’re depleted on Energon;the Autobots needed a tape transport , and they could only bring Jetfire back as such . This creates a nightmare scenario for the Energon Universe ’s first Transformer , as Jetfire is trapped in a eubstance where he ca n’t even see .
“ Everything is … sinister , ” Jetfire chew over , “ I can not see the stars any longer . ” While troubling , this create a great peck of conflict forthe series ' Autobot characters . Optimus Prime is committed to look after his people no matter what , and thus is coerce to make some tough decisions so as to ensure their survival . Resurrecting Jetfire , and essentially immobilize him in his alt - mode to expend as a transport , is a shocking decision , but it is not one that Prime make light ; Optimus even agrees to appease with Jetfire after he is revived , so the come down Cybertronian lie with he is not alone .
[ Jetfire ’s ] Resurrection of Christ also raises the possibility of other fallen Autobots rising once again . Fan - favorite Bumblebee was kill off right from the jump inTransformers#1 , though this make it seem possible that he and others might be revived in due time .
