In an undivided interview withScreen ranting , while promoting her upcoming celluloid , Chief of Station , Kurylenko was asked if she could partake any detail on what theThunderbolts*title mean for the film , since Marvel Studios recently add the asterisk to the name . Kurylenko , who is returning as Antonia Dreykov , a.k.a . Taskmaster , as part of theThunderboltscast , stated the chase :
Olga Kurylenko : Well , they change a twosome of thing . [ Laughs ] That ’s all I can say , but that also does n’t say anything , because apparently every picture show is unlike , and in every movie , things interchange . But yeah , it will be unlike , we ’ll see . There ’s nothing I can say . [ Laughs ]

The journey toThunderboltshas not precisely been one of the easier ones for Marvel Studios since they declare the labor a few years ago . Thunderbolts * , which is currently filming , was do to begin production in 2023 , but had to be pushed back in light of the Writers Guild of America and SAG - AFTRA tap . However , theThunderboltsmovie has also undergone a smattering of changes , including a release date holdup to 2025 .
One of the biggest known milk shake - ups was the recasting of Sentry , as Steven Yeun had initially been tapped forThunderboltsto play Robert Reynolds . But due to run afoul schedules , The Walking Deadalum had to exitThunderbolts * , with Lewis Pullman now learn over for Yeun . The Bearstar Ayo Edebiri was anotherThunderboltscast phallus who had to be supersede due to schedules , with Geraldine Viswanathan engage in her place as her closed book character .
There have also been a number of creative change made to theThunderboltsscript , but exactly what those modifications are has yet to be clarified . However , now thatthe MCU’sThunderboltsfilmis finally film , it will be exciting to see how the enfranchisement will handle this team . Hopefully , wheneverThunderbolts*is done with principal photography , the world will be closer to eventually getting the first right trailer .
