Screen Rant reviewsThe Hangover

When you start laughing about 30 seconds into a movie , that ’s usually a honorable sign .

The plot ofThe Hangoveris very simple : Three buddies ( and one tatter - along ) psyche to Las Vegas to celebrate the impending man and wife of one of their own with a bachelor party weekend . Now I ’m middling picky when it comes to funniness , especially the R - snitch sort . " unintelligent - funny " does n’t work for me at all , so based on some of what I ’d seen in the marketing I was a second concerned I was possibly in for some vulgar , dim humour . WhileThe Hangoveris for sure vulgar and not for everyone , I found it to be far from stupefied . The dialogue and character are brilliant , and had me laughing throughout most of the pic .

We ’ve got a great cast of characters - Bradley Cooper as Phil , the handsome , bland utterer of the group , Ed Helms as Stu Price - the dentist who keeps reminding mass he ’s a doctor , and Zach Galifianakis who steal the movie as Alan , the succeeding crony in law of Doug ( Justin Bartha ) . In addition we have Stu ’s harebrained yuppie lady friend , Heather Graham gorgeous as the honest-to-god viewpoint by " hooker with a heart of gold , " Jeffrey Tambor as the future Father-God - in - police force and Ken Jeong as " Mr. Chow . "

I do n’t ordinarily list so many actors , but they all did such a great job that I just had to give them all a cry . While Jeffrey Tambor had a small part , he ’s just peachy at chew the scene even with just a feeling and not a great deal of silver screen meter . Ken Jeong was priceless as the Asian gangster , absolutely hysteric - but the stand out performance had to be Zach Galifianakis as the " not quite all there " member of the troupe . He play the role as almost mildly retarded , and the origin he delivers and the style he order them are plausibly on their own enough to make you want to see the movie again .

There are great bits throughout the full film , and while it does bog down for a chip about 3/4 of the way through , but it find its terms presently enough to enclose up with a really great ending . However I loved how they do by the backtracking to figure out just what happened the night before - they did n’t resort to flashbacks or fancy back and forward time - jumps … we just hang with the guy veridical - metre and discover the piece to the puzzle along with them . So not only do we have great comedy , as a fillip we get a mystery to run as well .

Rest see to it this movie earn its R - rating so for the making love of Pete leave the kids at HOME for this one . If you ca n’t afford a sitter this workweek , save a mates of bucks a day and wait until next week to see it . What really blew my mind was the fact that the most utmost scenes in the movie actually do n’t seem until the credit are rolling . I wo n’t give away anything other than to say if you ’re offended by sexually denotative fabric , you ’d better pull up stakes just as the credits start to roll . candidly I ’d wish to know how the blaze they engender the very last thing that appears past the MPAA and retained an R evaluation .

However if you ’re into radius - rate comedies and do n’t mind unprocessed and crass humor , The Hangoveris not to be miss .
