To make thing even more complicated , Perry drastically changes the past in the stopping point .

Either Perry rewrote the timeline at the end ofOuter Rangeseason 2 , or the Prime Video time locomotion show will now succeed more than just one reality . How Does Time Travel Actually Work In The Outer Range Universe?
Can the Hole be explained by science?
The ruler ofOuter Range ’s meter travel have not been fully revealed yet , let alone how or why the Hole does what it does . Dr. Nia Bintu referred to the Hole as time itself , as if the literal stream of time could be accessed through Royal ’s property . It ’s also ill-defined what the pitch-black mineral , which presumably comes from the Hole , does inOuter Range . Another important interrogation is whether the Hole ’s properties and powers can be explained by science , or if it is all part of a supernatural plot line .
Royal ’s backstory changing suggests everything could be different inOuter Rangeseason 3 after what Perry did .
Even ifOuter Range ’s time travel has supernatural origin , it is important that the show properly establishes the rules of how it puzzle out . Naturally , there has to be a level of mystery , meaning not everything should be revealed all at once . IfOuter Rangeseason 3happens , it will likely at least settle whether changes made to the past make a young universe , or if they rewrite the same timeline . In both case , Outer Rangeis shaping up to be a very dissimilar show now that time has been messed with so much .
