Mother of the Bride’scastis quite impressive , though I highly doubt the likes of Brooke Shields , Benjamin Bratt , Chad Michael Murray , Rachael Harris , Wilson Cruz , and Michael McDonald would give up a chance to have a vacation and do some light acting work in Thailand . Cosgrove and Sean Teale play nothing - hamburger theatrical role ; they are just there to be the accelerator for the primal romance but do enough to not feel like a pain in the neck when they are the focus of a vista .
Cruz and McDonald are the kind of actors you are just felicitous to see , although McDonald act as though he walked through the lot ofHalloween Killsand intoMother of the Bridewithout break character , he is still fun to view . Cruz is always a joy , and he glow as someone who is signify to ooze out ripe vibraphone only . Harris , as Shields ' onscreen best friend , is comically and constantly nursing a drunkenness in her deal , and she offer that I - am - the - impish - friend energy here that just find right for a story about unexpected reunions .
Shields and Bratt are the active dyad I never knew I needed . Their interpersonal chemistry is off the charts , but their most significant contributions are their heartfelt execution .
