Summary
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apesstar Freya Allan reveals new item about Mae ’s backstory that were cut from the moving picture . The human Mae is pursued by Proximus Caesar ( Kevin Durand ) and his followers from the rootage of the story , but her true motivations remain a closed book for much of the runtime . Even less is known about her backstory , especially since much of the entropy she shares with Noa ( Owen Teague ) is only partially dependable , as she remains leery of trusting an ape , no matter how honest and well - intentioned he seems .
Well , to begin with , she went with a camp , so she was backed . She was going with masses , and this [ team - up with the apes ] was not the plan . Her cantonment was round , and all those hoi polloi died . So she ’s the only one bequeath , and she ’s fully out in the wild with nothing and no one . So she has to repair to making Noa her teammate because she ’s got no one else . That was not the plan , though , so a pot of it is gradually count on what to do next .

Concealing Mae’s Backstory Was Crucial To Pulling Off Kingdom’s Biggest Twist
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes ' biggest turn is the revelation of a sophisticated , well - equipped mathematical group of human in concealing and form to reestablish communication with other humans , and that Mae was on a deputation for them the total time . Thisplot twist would n’t have worked if too much of Mae ’s backstory had been revealed . Untiljoining up with Noaand Raka ( Peter Macon ) , Mae is present as a lone hand without a biotic community and without resources . These perception do n’t seem to change even when she begins speaking , with Noa and Raka apparently being the only community she now has .
Owen Teague leads the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes retch as Cornelius . But who else is starring alongside him and what characters do they wager ?
While the mankind on Mae ’s mission were kill by Proximus ' minions , they were likely able to put up more of a fight than the more animalistic humans exist in the wild . designate this butchery would ’ve teased too much of the community of interests and resources that Mae had , stripping away much of the mystery and machination that made her part compelling , and potentially spoilingKingdom of the Planet of the Apes ' conclusion . This also would ’ve been the character if Allan ’s idea of Mae ’s parent failing to complete the mission had been shown .

Potential sequels may show more of Mae ’s past with this human community , clarifying if she has always been with them , if she joined their ranks at a posterior head , and how she ended up as part of the team searching for the decryption headstone . Her backstory adds new meaning to her determination to complete the delegacy at any monetary value , along with her struggle to swear Noa even after he help oneself her to assure the decryption key . Mae ’s nuanced character is arguably the most compelling element ofKingdom of the Planet of the Apesand the subsequence it place up .
