Not much of that here , though . There ’s also the fact that I would have prefer to see Bond play Baccarat , which is his traditional biz , but that involved more luck than any sort of skill so mayhap that ’s why they decided against it .
Another matter that went against the movie was it ’s distance , at almost two and a half hours , and the fact that it remind my of the lastLord of the Ringsmovie with making me think it was over , but become on to another apparent ending , and then another . I ’ve never read the Ian Fleming novels but from what I ’ve hear , the rendering of Bond portray in this movie was much near to the Bond of the printed Thomas Nelson Page : tougher , nastier and less polished . After the first couple of Bond movies arrive out , and specially once Connery left the franchise , the series almost became campy , just shy of the over the top style of the old Batman TV series star Adam West .
