Why Buntaro Was Hardly In Shogun’s Finale
Buntaro was not needed by Toranaga like Mariko was
Buntaro was not featured as much in theShōgunfinale because Toranaga ’s Crimson Sky strategy did not go as originally planned .
WhileShogun ’s last was very good , Buntaro was one character who felt underdeveloped and reasonably neglected in the serial publication last . Buntaro became a major part duringShōgunepisode 5 ’s saki sceneand played a large use in the latter half of the time of year . After a devastatingShōgunepisode 8 in which his forefather Hiromatsu perpetrate harakiri and Mariko completely breaks his heart , Buntaro is basically ignore for the rest of the seriesexcept for one scene in the finale . He should have had at least one more moment in the close that could have put up his fictitious character salvation and a more complete bow .
A big grounds why Buntaro was not featured as much in theShōgunfinale was becauseToranaga ’s Crimson Skystrategy did not go as originally planned . Had Toranaga ignite the Siege of Osaka using his USA from Edo as he had ab initio intended to , Buntaro likely would have play a major character in the battle scenes that some viewers had have a bun in the oven to see in theShōgunfinale . Because Toranaga was once again several steps ahead of Lord Ishido and just about every other character inShōgun , Buntaro was ultimately not needed to advance his master design like Mariko was . He did , however , succeed in preserve Mariko alive for as long he did .

Ochiba ’s secluded letter of the alphabet to Lord Toranaga has heavy implications for the ending of Shōgun , using Lady Mariko ’s poetical words to leave behind a lasting impact .
How Buntaro’s Character Could Have Been Improved In The Shōgun Finale
Buntaro’s combat skills feel underutilized in the series overall
An epic moment during the Sekigahara struggle aspect would have made Buntaro ’s character feel more redeemed and complete .
It was await that Buntaro would play a major role in Toranaga ’s Crimson Sky program as a samurai warrior , fueled by his passion and pain for abruptly losing both his father and his married woman , which did not chance . Buntaro could have at least been offered more of a chance at redemption than just help Blackthorne with the ship at the end , although it was a meaningful moment and an indication of their future relationship after the events ofShōgun . Still , Buntaro ’s fighting skills feel underutilized in the overall series , as even an epical moment during the Sekigahara battle scene would have made his character feel more redeemed and perfect .
While Shōgun season 2 seems impossible since it is found on one novel by James Clavell , several other Christian Bible by the generator can also be adapted for TV .
