Screen Rant : Chimney and Maddie last got married ! Was there ever a clip when you worried they would n’t terminate up here ?
Kenneth Choi : Yeah , there was that menstruation where Maddie had postpartum Great Depression , came back , and say , " I reckon we demand to pause everything . Kenneth Choi : I think he hallucinate him because it ’s the furthest in his idea that he can go that way of life . This complete dark and complete light . Chimney is always on the fence about a spate of these bad life decisions , and when you ’re on the fence about fully grown lifespan decisions , you think , " Is what I ’m doing really right ? No , no , no , of course of action this is the right-hand thing I ’m doing . " Because that viral encephalitis brought this genial fog and a want of mental clarity , he ’s strain to figure all these thing out and trying to get back to her , but there ’s always this force pull him aside because that ’s just how Chimney is .
What ’s the deep , black force that could pull him away from that ? It would be the materialisation of Doug . And then the angel , on the other counterpoint , would be his blood brother , Kevin . It was a lovely way to show this thrust and tear in Chimney ’s psyche with this devil on one shoulder , and an backer on the other shoulder that our showrunner , Tim Minear , devised . Kenneth Choi : When I saw him , it was lovely . A lot of performing has to do with your partner , good ? It ’s like tennis . The secure the lawn tennis partner is , the well you are , and the well the game is . James [ Chen ] and I developed a very unassailable connector while we were doing " Chimney Begins . " We have n’t seen each other in years , but as presently as we saw each other , I looked powerful in his eyes , and I was justly there emotionally . He just brought me flop back to it . He had a personal issue croak on in New York and then had to vanish out that day . We had him for a few hour , but we just lock in at once . It was really adorable to have him there . That was towards the end of the episode . It was a light-headed moment out of all these sort of dark , tragic moments .
Even though he does n’t remember being a fireman , Chimney directly jump into action when there ’s a crisis . What do you opine that say about who Chimney is at his nitty-gritty ?
Kenneth Choi : Even with those conflicts whirl in his head , you just snap back to who you really are . And who Chimney really is is someone that require to help people . He ’s someone that ’s a donor . He ’s someone that will overcome . It was lovely to have that moment , too . It was wonderful to have that thing where , all of a sudden , he just snatch out of it . And then by the end of it , when that theatrical role says , " Are you a Dr. ? " you may see he ’s in shock . He ’s like , " No , we ’re at a karaoke measure . " So he does n’t even know in that import how he ’s doing it . It ’s just reflex .
Kenneth Choi Breaks Down The 118’s Reaction To Buck And Tommy

Kenneth Choi : I recollect it was bully , because you see the relationship build up in Episode 4 , and then in 5 , it builds , and no one really knows about it except for Maddie and Eddie . And to have this import where they get in , and nothing is tell , you just see physically , and you have to put it together . I thought it was kind of a lovely affair , because it ’s what all of the characters are doing . They ’re all sitting there put it together . The greatest reaction , I thought [ laughs ] , was Mrs. Buckley , who ’s toy by Dee Wallace .
If you watch carefully , she has this chemical reaction of utter confusedness , like , " What is happening here ? What ’s go on ? Why are they both dirty ? What ? " It was my pet reaction , because it was genuine shock and awe . But I call up for everybody else , particularly the 118 , the response is just like , " Oh , well , they calculate so felicitous together . " And that ’s kind of all you really want for your skillful friends , is n’t it ? When you come across a best friend ’s substantial other , all you desire is for them to treat them mighty and for them to be glad , and at that moment , you may see that they ’re very happy .
It does n’t have anything to do with , " Were they kissing ? " It ’s just , " Oh , Buck finally face like he ’s happy . " I ’m super excited for the storyline too because , in person , I became really good champion with Louis Ferrigno Jr. I opine he ’s a dandy actor and this young vim that he ’s contribute in is wonderful .
